A one-night-only art bar exploring the limits of hospitality. When kids receive big, over-complicated toys they have to wait for them to be put together. So often while the parents are struggling with pages of instructions the kid is having more fun with the box. In a world of over-complicated bar experiences, No Ice is the box.
Decor: 80's Midwestern rec room. Faux wood paneling, orange shag carpet, retro laps, second hand art
Menu: Batched drinks, dad can beers, whiskey, and grilled cheese made in toasters.
View on Instagram ↗A celebration of entropy and the inevitable heat death of the universe. Entropy is ever increasing, we're all going to die, and there is nothing we can do about it except choose how we want to live.
Decor: We created a physical space with a gradient of decor from warm to cold, from extra to sparse to allow people to physically move through the idea of changing entropy in the universe.
Menu: Hot dogs with hot giardinara, chips and hot sauce, batch drinks (one hot, one cold), dad cans, whiskey.
View on Instagram ↗Found and recognizable objects all painted the same color and arranged as a martian terrain in a large window display. Everything is familiar, but not in a way you've seen before.
Decor: The installation was laid out in collaboration with the team taking inspiration from Mars rover photos. I created an interactive experience where people could take a picture to create a Martian ID and see themselves on Mars through a face swap with a digital astronaut.
