A mirrored cloud, a light-up dance floor, a party in a box
When I lived in Denver there was a local art store called Lowbrow. They had a small cloud they were selling as part of a challenge to create a piece with the cloud as the centerpiece and enter a show at the shop. I bought one in aspiration, not knowing what I was going to do with it. Then, while thinking about what I was going to make, I had a thought that I'd never seen a disco ball in any other shape than a ball. It became an exploration of whimsy.
